Pick-up and Drop-off Areas

Parking is not permitted in front of or alongside any of our terminals. Terminal curbsides are reserved for active pick ups and drop offs only. If you leave your vehicle unattended, it will be towed at the owner's expense.

Newark offers a free Cell Phone Lot for you to conveniently wait at before picking up or dropping off a passenger. This lot is located less than five minutes away from all terminals and is near the airport's entrance, adjacent to the P4 Daily Parking garage which is accessible by the AirTrain.

With more than 100 spaces and portable restrooms, the lot allows drivers to wait comfortably until their arriving passengers are ready to be picked up.

For directions to the free Cell Phone Lot, enter “Newark Cell Phone Lot opens in a new tab” in your GPS or follow the signs when entering the airport.

You can unload bags and passengers at the curb outside each terminal at Newark. These areas are close to airline entrances and often have weather protection. If someone is picking you up, they can not wait at the curb unless you and your bags are already there. If you are not ready, they will need to wait in the Cell Phone Lot until you call.  
 


If you need help with checking bags or getting to your gate, please contact your airline at least 24 hours before your flight. If you're traveling with a motorized wheelchair or scooter, ask your airline about their rules when you book your ticket.
