FIFA World Cup 2026™ Travel Advisory

On June 13, 16, 22, 25, 27, 30, and July 5 & 19, NJ TRANSIT will make temporary rail service adjustments for FIFA World Cup 26™ matches that will impact travel between the Newark Liberty International Airport, New York City, and certain destinations in New Jersey. Customers traveling to/from the airport by rail on those eight match days should review the rail service changes at njtworldcup.com opens in a new tab.

Additionally, other ground transportation may be impacted due to increased activity on regional roadways and the rail network. Customers are encouraged to check with ground transportation providers (e.g. Amtrak, Newark Airport Express Bus, NJ TRANSIT bus and light rail, rideshare) for status updates and service changes.

• Check flight status with your airline before arriving at the airport.
