Traveling to the new Terminal A at Newark Liberty? Here are a few things to know:
Air Canada, American Airlines, jetBlue and United Airlines operates out of the new terminal upon opening on January 12, 2023. United Airlines operates out of both Terminals A and C.
Effective August 23, 2023, Delta Airlines will operate from Terminal A and will no longer operate from Terminal B.

As of November 15, 2023, all 10 rental car agencies – Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, National, Payless, Sixt, and Thrifty – operating at the airport are now located in the newly constructed Consolidated Rental Car Center on levels 1-3 of the Parking A garage.
The facility is connected to Terminals B and C via AirTrain Newark, with a direct connection to the Terminal A via a pedestrian bridge. Drivers should follow “Rental Car Return” roadway signage to access the facility.
All rental transactions, including returns, take place at the new center. Subsequently, the P3 AirTrain station that served the previous rental car location is now closed to the public.
A new parking facility (Parking A) opened with the new Terminal A offering optimal proximity to the new terminal. Equipped with a parking guidance system, and EV charging, the facility is conveniently labeled as “Parking A.” Follow signs for “Parking A” to get to the garage.

If you parked in the Parking ‘A’ garage, take the AirTrain two stops to the Terminal A Station. Follow signs to the parking garage.
If you parked in the Short Term Parking ‘C’ lot (or C Garage), take a complimentary shuttle bus to return to your vehicle. Exit the Terminal on Arrivals Level 1 (baggage claim) and proceed to Curb 3 Loading Zone 15. Take the complimentary ‘Economy Parking Lot P6/Terminals A B C shuttle’ bus to Terminal C.
If you parked in the Short Term Parking ‘B’ lot, take the complimentary shuttle bus to return to your vehicle. Exit the Terminal on Arrivals Level 1 (baggage claim) and proceed to Curb 3 Loading Zone 15. Take the complimentary Economy Parking Lot P6/Terminals A B C shuttle bus one stop to Terminal B.
Need to get to Terminals B or C from Terminal A? There are two ways of transferring between terminals from Terminal A:
Star Alliance Connections: Located by Gate 28, board a free shuttle bus operated by United Airlines to Terminals B and C. Follow signs for “Terminals BC | via Shuttle” (see photo below). Note, United Airline customers may check in at Terminal A, clear through TSA security, and take the shuttle bus to Terminal C. Checked-in luggage will be transferred automatically from Terminal A to Terminal C and you will not need to go through TSA security again at Terminal C. The Terminal A & C bus operates from 4 AM to 12 AM and the Terminal B bus operates from 1 PM to 11 PM.
P6 Shuttle Bus: Board the complimentary Economy Parking Lot P6/Terminals A B C shuttle bus at Arrivals Level 1 (Baggage Claim) Loading Zone 15 or at Departures Level, Door 4 to get to Terminals B and C.
